"Big B is an institution" - Ravi Kissen

Team of Bhojpuri film 'Ganga' is elated. And why not since 'Ganga' starring Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role is ready for release and is touted to change the face of Bhojpuri film industry. The film stars Ravi Kissen, Manoj Tiwari and Nagma in principal roles while Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini [who play a couple once again after 'Baghban'] top the starcast. This is what Ravi Kissen, who has worked with Big B for the first time, has to say about him - "He is a God and hence I can't call him by his name. But what he has done for the Bhojpuri film industry is something that has been unprecedented. Our industry is anyways going through its best phase ever but when he agrees to be a part of the film, it takes it to a different level altogether. For all of us, he is not just an actor, he is an institution in himself." Nagma extended on the common feeling by saying, "I have worked with Amitji earlier too ['Lal Baadshah' and 'Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon'] but every time you come along with him, there is something new to learn. It has indeed been an honor to be a part of a project like this." Readers may remember that this is the first film for which Big B faced camera after his sudden illness last winter. He plays the role of a 'thakur', a family patriarch while Hema Malini is a 'thakurain'.
